Gemini PT-2400 Turntables

The Intro

The Gemini PT-2400's have a super high torque motor, 2.4kg/cm compared to only 1.5kg/cm of sl1200 gemini have been making some of the finest turntables for years. with each model an improvment over the last, with this in mind.

The Good

The first PT2000 came out in 1997, It was compared with Sl1210 and classed as almost as good. since then we have seen the pt-2000 mkII, pt-2000 mkIII, pt-2100 and pt2400.

In my opinion these turntable are a better turntable that sl1200 mk2,3 or 5 If they had had the Technics logo on them they would been in every club in europe.

The Bad

The super sexy Gemini PDX6000 are now on sale. These are mosters with 3.3kg/cm torque.

Overall Rating

Technics are no longer the best, and haven been for some years and they know it, why do you thing sl-1210 mk2 where the dadies for 20 years and in the past 1 1/2 we have seen a mk3 mk4 & mk5 with them currently working on a mk6.
