Panasonic-owned company Technics has been responsible for some of the most groundbreaking and eliminative DJ equipment since they released the world first ever direct drive turntable, the Technics SP-10 in 1969.

It was in 1979 that things took off for DJ's worldwide with the release of the Technics SL-1200 turntables, changing the shape of DJ-ing for good.

Technics rolled out the 1210's the following year, with the same specification, only in black as opposed to silver/chrome. Before long we saw the Technics 1200MK2 and Technics 1210MK2 released.

Now Technics turntables are the standard for any DJ to expect to be using in any nightclub across the world, be it the 1200's or 1210's in MK2's, MK3's, MK4's (a rarity), or the brand new MK5's and MK5G's.
